Waters
MISSION
Connecting people into a deeper life with God by disconnecting them from the world through water sports and high adventure outdoor activities.

Deeper Waters Ministry exists to connect people to God by helping them disconnect from the noise of the world. Through day camps at Smith Mountain Lake, we use water-based activities such as wakeboarding, surfing, water skiing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and more to create opportunities for adventure, connection, and spiritual growth.
In today’s world, especially for young people, life is filled with constant distractions like television, video games, social media, and other forms of noise that often keep them from experiencing real adventure, real relationships, and a very real God. By helping people unplug from those distractions, even for just one day, we believe lives can be deeply impacted.
We are honored to partner with many churches, foster care groups, inner-city organizations, survivors of sex trafficking, and other ministries and nonprofits. We also host day camps for individuals who are not connected to a group, giving even more people the opportunity to participate.
Many of the groups we serve would otherwise not be able to afford these experiences, which is why we rely on sponsors and supporters to help cover the costs. Their generosity makes it possible for us to provide meaningful, life-giving days on the water to those who need them most.
In addition to our camps, we also host a weekly gathering for college-aged students and young adults throughout the year. This provides a place for fellowship, community, guidance, and encouragement during a season of life that can often feel uncertain and overwhelming.
All funds received go toward general operating expenses, including staffing, insurance, boat fuel, food, drinks and snacks for day camps, equipment, and repairs.
Our mission is to help people discover the peace that comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. A life with less stress, less anger, and less discontent. A life of peace and contentment regardless of circumstances is what we hope each person begins to experience. For some, that peace may begin during just one day with us. Our prayer is that it continues far beyond the water and into every area of life.
